Quantum's insulation process ensures a homogenous, void-free layer of rigid polyurethane foam insulation bonded directly to the entire pipe surface. Our insulation system can be applied to virtually any type of pipe on the market today - from 100 mm (4 in) to 1200 mm (48 in) in diameter, with or without an electric tracing conduit.

Quantum's pre-insulated pipe is effective for freeze prevention in cold climates, centrally chilled water piping systems in temperate and tropical climates, and hot water / low-pressure steam piping for process and district energy. Our pipes may be installed either buried or above ground with the proper outer protective jacket.

Quantum’s pre-insulated pipe is the system of choice in any extreme climate.

Our typical pre-insulated pipe applications include:

  • municipal water and sewer mains
  • service connections
  • bridge crossings
  • mine intakes, tailing, and reclaim lines
  • chemical feed and temperature maintenance
  • industrial process facilities

Rock Shield Pipeline Insulation

Polyurethane foam is one of the most economical ways to protect your pipe in rocky conditions. Typically, 50 mm of foam is applied to protect the pipe during the backfill process. In severe conditions, foam thickness increases as needed. Our coating system far exceeds the quality of protection given by wrap-on products.

Spray-In Bulk Foam and Pre-Formed Pillows Pipeline Support

Polyurethane foam pillows or spray-in-place bulk foam provide superior stability and support to the pipeline structure to sandbagging. In addition, foam pillows or spray-in bulk foam pipeline support eliminates the risks to your pipeline associated with shifting or breaking sandbags.

Erosion Barrier And Void Filling For Pipelines And Culverts

Erosion barriers are crucial for diverting water off the right-of-way. Our erosion system barrier is much more effective than conventional sandbag methods. We apply Polyurethane erosion barriers into the existing pipeline ditch to provide the support needed to keep ditch lines and hillsides in place even in high precipitation and wet environments.

Polyurethane provides a complete seal and forces water to the top and off the edge of the ditch line. A polyurethane erosion barrier system does not rot or break down when covered with soil. As a result, you have an erosion barrier that can feasibly outlast the life of your pipeline.
